This solves a problem that doesn't exist. Teacups have handles without the use of a large, expensive(looks like lots of material, and it's got to be thick enough to insulate against burns and rugged enough to carry the cup, and melting-proof), dangerous(figure out where the center of gravity on that cup is -- lift that coaster wrong and you've got a lap filled with coffee) gimmick.
aah, there's a billion of these, in all different shapes and sizes, and you show a curved mug, do you need to get the fitting mug with it? And what's the little little spike in the middle of the mug in the crosssection, you could poke an eye out with that thing! But wait, you can turn it upside-down? that's neat, and other than the eye-poker, original! No really, that changes it from a no to a maybe. (wait, where's the maybe button? Is there really no MAYBE BUTTON?!) ahh, screw it that's a yes.
Tea is made with boiling water and is much hotter in the cup than a typical cup of coffee, so yes, I'd give this a go. Not sure about using it as a cup cover, though. The temptation would be to peel back the top from the cup rim and risk steaming ones fingers if the liquid is still fairly hot. Can these go into the dishwasher?
Absolutely great work. Practical, beautiful and simple.
Rad! I like how it doubles as a top for the tea as well.
Very Nice!!
maybe but I suggest vacuum seal to keep hot or cold
