A rubbish bin which incorporates a dust pan and brush. Brush sits underneith.
This bin enhancing the experience of sweeping, becoming convenient and enjoyable
It took me a few looks until I understood the concept...now that I understand it I love it! I would, and many other people I belive would buy it. Is it possible for you to place a smaller image of the trash can "in use" (perhaps on the right corner of the current image)?
JD,
Glad you like the bin :-). To empty the bin you just tip it like a normal bin placing one hand on handle and other on the bottom. The slope detail is added as a minimal way to stop rubbish falling out when in dustbin and brush mode, which is flat on floor.
And the brush clicks into the bottom. There are two gaps that you put your fingers into. When designing the bin we were aware of pre conceived ideas of existing dustpan and brush's that they are cheap, ugly and they have bad product placement in cupboards or under stairs. This just adds more unecessary added time of finding pan and brush than you want to spend on cleaning.
We aimed to make the dustpan and brush more convenient to use for modern day living and a way to acheive this is by morphing and features into one form. You will never find people leaving a dustpan and brush on display but you would a bin. This is the explantion why the brush sits underneith, its discreet, and ready on standby.
Hope that helps I will add a picture soon of bin in use. Thankyou
I think this design like your others, needs one more stage of refining.

Is it possible to still use this bin with a liner?
And how full can the bin be before the slope stops holding in the rubbish?

Maybe a collapsible handle that folds flat against the front to add to the convenience factor so you wouldn't have to bend over to sweep in to it if you didn't want to, and change the broom to have a handle and to attach to the trash bin. Storage might be more difficult, but it would make everyday use easier. If this is meant to be a travel size, then maybe make the bottom a bit more sturdy by giving it a stand to sit on so the canister won't tip over.

Hi bubble, the bin is not design to have a liner, it is a bin for dry and small rubbish, rather than wet, large objects placed in teh bin. It has been changed to plastic in my new designs to make it easier to clean. Thanks

Shabo,
thanks for feedback, you suggested a collapsible handle that folds flat against the front. Good idea, the brush actually sits underneith the bin for a particular reason, so that when in standing mode you get a bin(a form excepted in interior warm environment) and in flat mode the brush is revealed ready to use.It is quite easy to take out, and comes in the form of a face to add a little fun to your cleaning.I like your idea of adding a long handle but perhaps that is a seperate design all together, more used for street cleaners, people who clean for hours on end. Thanks again
