Would definitely leak. I'm not sure what I would need a collapsible bowl for anyway. And the glass/plastic clear piece at the bottom would get lost in a heartbeat.

I think it works for a fruit bowl, its got a very distinct style and is not boring, very different from conventional bowls. I think, as a container to store, its works fine.
I'd worry about durability. A glass bowl will last my lifetime, but I could definitely imagine even if the bowl itself doesn't break to pieces when I put one piece of fruit in wrong, all that flexing would likely limit the effective life of the bowl.
