How is it made to be so thin?

(Wed, 16 Aug 2006 07:36:22 GMT) NAVPAQ says

Is it waterproof?

how do u listen to the music? does it have built in speakers?

(Sun, 27 Aug 2006 03:41:01 GMT) Darren says

Right handed as usual

(Mon, 28 Aug 2006 20:01:21 GMT) John Glinister says

listening would be done via wireless earphones. and it can be worn on either wrist.

looks like it would get hot and trap heat...the last thing u want in sports performance...many nike watches have air vent holes...also, is this a successful convergence of technology, or another attempt at a techno swiss army watch?

Nice idea. you could build a heart rate monitor with finger-touch like sigma-sport did it. You would press 2 fingers on the green stripes and then there would be your actual heart rate...: http://sigma-sport.de/en/produkte/pulscomputer/topline/pc_3ft/?punkt=features

we like the wearable electronics! but it's too easy a concept to really impress. if you get it made (even a proto) then i would be alot more enthusiastic! Just do it! ;)

Ugh, this is just sooooo over the top. How about just going further back from the 80's to the 70's and taking up STREAKING again?

(Fri, 20 Oct 2006 02:04:40 GMT) chris says

id buy it if the heaphones were wireless maybe more like ear plugs so they stay in place

(Fri, 20 Oct 2006 22:45:19 GMT) JM says

sure, great idea, nobody has ever thought of it before...oh, right, just all the guys at Nike and Panasonic who are waiting for china to make the parts small enough so they can cram a microwave for your powerbar in there as well.

(Mon, 23 Oct 2006 14:56:55 GMT) Nico says

How on earth would you wash it? People like me who train 3+ times a week would destroy this is two months, or it would stink so bad you'd lose all your friends. Good idea, but not practical for real athletes.

How irritating is it when you're running at the gym and the 16-year-old girl on the treadmill next to you starts gabbing away on her cell phone about Mark and his adorable dimples and thick sexy hair? How distracting is it to be in the middle of playing a football game and have your wristwatch ring? What phone calls simply can't wait another 20 minutes? Seriously, people! I have no issues with the mp3 player or the stopwatch....even the digicam has its place....but a phone? Get real.

all valid comments. i admit there are quite a few flaws with this design, its deffo not totally resolved. im sure its only a matter of time tho until one of the big-name sports manufacturers release some kinda device along the lines of this one. im not saying "i thought of it first" or anything but its probable. doubt it wud be much like mine tho.

you microwave your powerbars, jm?

(Tue, 07 Nov 2006 22:21:26 GMT) Shabo says

How are you going to get all of those features into that tiny area? The watch would have to be waterproof in order to withstand sweat, but otherwise, not too bad of an idea. Battery life must be short with the high amount of features, but the cell phone would be nice in case something happened while you were out jogging on the road. I think it will be a while before we see this concept, but it will certainly come some day.

(Mon, 20 Nov 2006 02:30:57 GMT) Jen says

i would definitely wear that. it is awesome. it has all the right features

(Tue, 21 Nov 2006 17:05:37 GMT) Rebecca says

Don't we have enough device that allow you to talk on the phone?

(Wed, 06 Dec 2006 04:34:14 GMT) Ongthrook Zul Threep says

I'll take the headband version.

(Wed, 06 Dec 2006 20:29:34 GMT) john glinister says

headband version? hey, why didnt i think of that! nice idea, weird name.

(Thu, 07 Dec 2006 15:58:06 GMT) Ongthrook Zul Threep says

Headband would be too eighties looking. Only good thing about reaching my advanced age is that its not the bloody eighties any more. Maybe screen should be oriented so you could glance at it while running.

(Thu, 22 Jan 2009 05:43:41 GMT) robert gibbs says

not sure many people would want this as their only phone, so unless you had a special number for when your exercising if you wanted people to be able to ring you you would have to switch your sim into your normal phone and vice versa every time you went for a run

(Fri, 06 Feb 2009 22:55:59 GMT) G. G. says

i dont see this happening in the next 5 years or more no way it can do all that stuff and fit on your wrist

(Tue, 02 Jun 2009 04:34:35 GMT) Outer Limits says

Ongthrook, I lived through the '80s, and the 90s, and now much of the first decade of the 21st century. There are NO unusual fashion statements left--only knock-offs of other eras. Anyhow, I don't care what I put on these days, being more or less likely the same "advanced age" as you. A headband would work for me with a hand-held keypad (wireless?). You've got to keep your eyes on the road these days--can't be staring at your wrist as a Mack truck bears down on you...just a thought.
