do bulbs bright enough for a reasonable image and small enough for this exist at a reasonable price? where is the cooling system? this will get HOT without one.

I can see huge problems with this for the intended purpose. 1. Screen. What would you do there? Neither cars, nor buses, nor trains have white seats, so where would you point this thing? 2. Vibration. I work in an industrial plant, and one of our meeting rooms has a projector mounted to the ceiling. Any minor vibration from the plant causes massive shaking on the screen, to the point it's really hard to look at sometimes. 3. Mounting. If you wanted to watch a movie, are you going to have to hold this thing still with your hand for 120 minutes? You couldn't use it on the bus if it needed a permenant mount. 4. Power This would have to compete with sunlight during the day, meaning it'd have to be ridiculously bright, which would burn through batteries like they're going out of style, and for at least 120 minutes of use, would limit portability. The other option is only using it at night, which limits utility. I just don't see this working better than a video iPod.

seriously, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!? LEDs are AMAZINGLY EFFICIENT, you can make them DAMN BRIGHT so that you can project from FIFTY FUCKING MILES AWAY without a heat problem. No, really you'd have to worry about ATMOSPHERIC DISTORTION before you'd have to worry about the thing overheating. JUST DON'T OVERVOLT THE SHIT OUT OF IT and you'll be okay.
