I considered this. I feel a clasp works well, the feeling of security etc. this can also be adjusted. I am currently producing a prototype so I am redesigning several aspects- Also moving away from the branding apple and iwatch- any suggestions?
forget developing mp3 players. That whole market is gonna get swallowed up by the cellular phone market v soon.

I like analog, but if you could make the screen touch, add menus for other functions, such a cell phone, I would switch. I don't know about most people, but if it were small enough, was a cell phone, with a blue thooth headset, I think it would sell. I would still go touch screen even if it is just an mp3, it adds to the code, but reduces the number of componants, and gives you infinite menu options.

I really, really like this idea! I love my Ipod, but it's a pain to carry around my arm band when I want to wear it while I'm walking around, as well as the cord for the earbuds. This is a perfect solution.

I don't really know too many people who wear watches anymore. Most people use cell phones to tell the time. You would definitely need more features, otherwise this would not be worth the price for this item. GPS is a nice idea, but with added features comes added size for watches, and then you are looking at cutting half of your market (like women) out of the picture. Even guys are moving away from bulky watches. And I agree with as syllogism said, this is definitely going to be replaced with the cell phone technology soon. I'm also not sure the clasp idea is so great only because I know how hard it is to find a watch that fits well when one has tiny wrists. I would not be turned on to an idea like this that looks like it's one size fits all.

...issues with skin contact point under wrist! Why do you need a clasp? Why not just stiff plastic to make it a universal fit? Good concept tho...
