it looks really cool. If you can make the knit-tube out of something really flexible and heat-insulating, the user can change the place of the bulb inside the tube.(cool...like a big snake swallowed an egg!)

Heat would not be an issue if you were using high intensity LEDs. You would also not need to change them, ever.
