Studio Leung is a young and diverse product design studio based in Hong Kong. It was opened by Michael Leung in London, 2006.
Michael graduated in July 2005 from Ravensbourne College, London. After graduating, Michael moved to Amsterdam to do a 7-month internship with Droog Design, under the direction of Gijs Bakker. After Droog, Michael worked with LEXON (France), American Apparel (USA), Ben Wilson Design (London), Corian (UK), Chi ha paura...? (Amsterdam), the Motorola Design Studio (London) and Michael Young (Hong Kong).
Studio Leung focuses on products that enrich everyday life - by observing people's behaviours, using form and design language appropriately, and by using materials in a meaningful way. The studio's work ranges from mass-market consumer electronics to conceptual objects for people who have passed away.
Studio Leung is designing products and collaborating with various companies and designers. The Studio Leung shop serves as an outlet for products that are more suitable for batch production - many of which are made in England, and soon to be in Hong Kong.
